APIs and the Future of Banking

The future of open banking depends upon APIs. By working together and taking advantage of APIs, banks and FinTech firms can leverage their complementary strengths, enhancing the customer experience much more than either entity can do on its own.

Join ACI senior executives and other major technology players at our next ACI Payments Breakfast Forum to understand how you can take advantage of the new world of APIs.

We are pleased to have Lu Zurawski,  Retail  Banking Practice Lead at ACI EMEA and a founding member of the U.K. Open Banking Working Group, lead the discussion on the latest in:

  • Open banking in the U.K. and the lessons for the Australian market
  • API architecture - a pragmatic design for new business
  • The benefits of Open APIs
  • Strategies for bank API implementation

There will be plenty of opportunity for networking and discussion.  To secure your place at this intimate, invitation-only event, click below.

Speaker

Lu Zurawski
Practice Lead, Retail Banking & Consumer Payments, ACI Worldwide

Lu lives in London with his wife and two teenagers – a perpetual payments, big data and social media challenge.

After a background in consulting, systems integration and service management at IT consultancy Logica/CGI, Lu joined ACI in late 2014 to develop strategic payments business propositions, particularly in the emerging fields of Open API, new access models and real time alternative payment methods. Lu now has over 20 years’ experience across a variety of payments markets.

With a strong innovation record - including working on one of the world's first mobile payment schemes and in the first Open Banking initiative - Lu's activities cover the latest trends in consumer payments, and their impact on the practical operations of modern payments businesses.

Lu has an interest in Behavioral Economics, creating thought - provoking - and often unorthodox - viewpoints for journals and conferences, covering public policy and the regulatory drivers for change in payments. This also covers financial/ digital inclusion, and the emerging demands for safe, reliable and easy to use tools to support digital interactions between citizens and businesses.

Lu is a regular speaker at conferences including SIBOS and Money2020 and has a regular column in the GTNews journal, covering a wide range of topics from cards to distributed ledgers.

In his spare time, Lu consumes and burns calories – he is a keen cyclist (with a 4 day, 1200km Paris-Brest ride on the record), and an avid forager/cook.
